I drove it in the snow and salty roads all winter at least every other day. I ended up rusting away the 1 front driveshaft away, the rear driveshaft, and brushes for the motors. I replaced them all for relatively cheap. The servo also wore down a little. You can't buy an rc car and not expect to do some maintenance. I love it and it is one of the best for the money on the market in my opinion. I would recommend you by the slightly more expensive WLToys #144001 brushless motor version it can be upgraded to 3S and 11.X Volt LiPo battery for extremely high speeds (for a 1/12 scale) . It also has an Alloy Chassis and suspension, shock towered/bulkhead/skid plate making it very durable, w/ hobby grade replaceable parts and a decent aftermarket selection. by far the best RC in the price bracket. I own Trx3.3 Nitro , 4S ElectricTraxxas Maxx, an Arrma Felony Drift car. I bought the WLToys 144001 for my daughter and ended up preferring the WLToys often over my other RC’s , for Under $160 you get the “Truggy”, essential tools “kit”, 3 LiPo Batteries and the Rapid/Peak Detecting charger (45-60mins per battery/ per charge). Also the run time is around 20 mins Per Battery=1hr (60) mins. I got it for my 5 year old after a lot of reasearch and it holds up! Not only is it tough but it’s easily customizable! I’ve added a new steering servo and even added a 4000 mah battery on the back and it takes all the jumps and abuse my 5 yo can throw at it! We’ve had it for a year and it’s out every weekend jumping our ramp and going on trail hikes! I haven’t had to replace a single suspension part on it even with the added weight! My gps hiking tracker says it’s done close to 60 miles and the only real replacement needed has been tires and the rear diff!
