First off, there in NO alcohol in our products.Banixx has one active ingredient and that is Stabilized Hydronium (H9 O4). The inert ingredient is purified water. The way Banixx works is very straightforward. It is essentially a non toxic mild peel, that doesn't sting. If there is an underlying pathogen the product will have no effect. My dogs develop annual hot spots in the early fall that exhibit no bacterial or fungal infection according to my vet. Never been able to identify the allergen, so they get bald spots from constant scratching. This stuff does help, but it is not a panacea. How 'stabilized' it really is is questionable, but it is mildly acidic, non toxic, and doesn't sting. **Q: What will happen if my cat licks it on his skin ?** A: Generally speaking, animals do not lick Banixx because it has no odor nor any sting to bother/offend them.
