Will remove any patina so using on antique copper items may not be the way to go. **Q: Anyone try this on gun parts? bcg's, pistol parts, etc? safe for various finishes? I was thinking of trying with a little dawn in my Ultrasonic...** A: Do not use it for gun parts. It will strip the bluing. I don't know about cerokote or duracoat though. But I still use it for cleaning brass for reloading. For gun parts I found Simple Green or Castro Super Clean solutions works great. Just be sure to do a complete rinse and air dry with compress air.
