I boiled my water first and let it cool down in the tank as the idea of introducing bacteria into my ear and getting an infection was scaring me, but it's probably better to use saline? I didn't send the water through the device while it was still super hot as you're not supposed to use heat to clean it. It was easy to use and I like that it sucks up the water in a tidy way rather than collecting it manually in a basin. I paid over $55 CAD plus tax for it but no regrets and it's great that I could get it delivered the next day. I have had ear wax plugging my ears once as a child and a couple of times as an adult and had doctors flush it out, so I am guessing I'll probably need it again in the future, and will use it to prevent this happening again too. Maybe a simple bulb to squirt water in would have done the trick too, but if the cost and space isn't an issue, it's nice and tidy and easy to use so I think it is worth it. I'll note that it comes with a bulb to blow dry your ear after. I would find a little dropper bottle helpful for putting oil or ear cleaning solution n your ear. None of them gave me the clean results I was hoping for, and most were either messy or uncomfortable. This KAUGIC ear cleaning system has completely changed the game for me.
