However, the last time I purchased them I noticed that they had changed them to be less dense and pretty much see-through. Well if you can see that much light pass thru logically the filter would not do a great job of filtering dust and other particles from the air. So off I went in search of a better alternative, and discovered these Fette Prefilters. Taking them out of the box, I immediately noticed that they were thicker and more densely woven than the Honeywell, and gave the zeolite particles on the surface like Honeywelldid before the redesign. They come 4 to a package, but my unit is shorter and the filter is exactly twice as long as required, so I cut them in 2 and effectively have 8 filters. Installing one in my purifier and running it for a x while, I could tell it was doing the job. While the Honeywell would let dust thru onto the HEPA filter, the Fette trapped all the dust and the HEPA stayed clean.I highly recommend these filters.
