I received mine stained, but rather than return, followed the washing instructions only to have the stain still visible and a huge amount of shrinkage along with pilling on the surface. I use it with breathable soft micro fiber sheets and the comfortable feeling the combo creates makes it difficult to get out of bed. I live in San Antonio and our summers are very hot but I found the perfect blanket to use all summer long. Because of the nice fluid drape it would probably make a great layering blanket for cooler months also.
