If the weight is 45-60 lbs, then 1 tablet per treatment is enough and the second tablet can be used next time if needed. Take care. **Q: How often do you use this treatment?** A: I live in Montana on 20 acres. My Brittany roams freely for her multiple daily constitutionals for 15 minutes each time. She is exposed to deer, elk, bears, mountain lions, coyotes, foxes, ground squirrels, etc. Unfortunately, like most dogs, she eats droppings. But because of these predators, I will not put a muzzle on her. So, in the past, I have done daily parasite (worms & eggs) stool counts over 6 months to evaluate the parasite threat to her. I treat her for 60# every 6 weeks. Then, I repeat in one week to kill worms that have hatched from eggs during that week. This has been effective for my pets. I am not a vet, but I am a physician. I only believe in Evidence Based Medicine. This is a topic poorly covered in journals. I cannot justify the expensive weekly treatments weekly for 3 wks. That has been no more effective than my carefully chosen treatment. My daughter's Yorkie, that never leaves the solid fenced yard or the house, is wormed every 6 months & is slightly over a very healthy 12 years old. I would add one thing for the FIRST treatment of an long-untreated dog: if by parasite stool count you feel that your pet is Heavily infected (or VERY loose stools/blood), treat, repeat in one AND in four weeks.
