Succeeding to the throne at the tender age of just 4 years, his development of the royal hunting lodge at Versailles into one of the largest palaces in the world remains one of his greatest achievements. These Baroque style pieces are inherent in this Louis XIV plain theme chess set seeking to reflect the ostentatious flavour of the period. This is a collectable set of 32 pieces that have been made using resin. They are coloured Brown and Ivory. There is no board included in this sale.

    The picture shown was much better than the actual chess pieces I received. The old saying buyer beware haunts me today. Had I seen these pieces I would've never purchased. That will be the end of Amazon for me I will go to a store I will look at my product and then I'll make a decision spend money on. I think the picture was dishonest to tell you the truth but so be it. This is my first time using Amazon it will be my last
