Build quality is questionable, as a new item the threads were very difficult to manage by hand and I had to use pliers. The main problem when not using it fully extended is that it rattles when going from height to low level and this is picked up by the camera so not fit for purpose as a video aid. Full extension is good but you do get quite a bit of wobble which again shows on the footage.
