## Overview

The Moto X 2nd Gen Case is a custom-fit, ultra-slim TPU case designed specifically for the 2014 Moto X model. With a matte back that resists fingerprints, easy-to-press buttons, and a protective lay-on-the-table design, this case combines style and functionality without adding bulk.

## Description

This case is ONLY for the second gen Moto X originally released in September 2014. It will not fit the 1st gen Moto X from 2013. Slip your Moto X (2nd Gen, 2014) into this custom fit Flexible TPU Case by Diztronic and experience the peace of mind of knowing your investment is well protected. Flexible, yet stronger and more durable than silicone, TPU offers excellent shock absorption and abrasion resistance while maintaining a thin form factor. The raised wrap-around edges make for a "lay-on-the-table" design that helps protect the glass screen from damage. Easy to install and remove, and definitely affordable--why not build a changeable wardrobe for your phone?

Review: Good fit, good feel, subtle design - I've had my 2nd-gen Moto X for nearly a year now and up until this point I had resisted getting a case. I have always had a love/hate relationship with smartphone cases in general. The market is too flooded with cheap, cheesy, poor-quality products - and in my opinion even some of the popular, "premium" alternatives end up making your phone look and feel like a squishy children's toy (I won't name names but it rhymes with "water sox"). Compounding my frustration was the fact that while my Moto X is my favorite phone I've owned (I've had five different smartphones since 2011 - only one of them died on me, the rest were just because I like getting new gadgets) for whatever reason a lot of the case manufacturers I actually do like decided not to bring out any products for it. All that to say after realizing that by this point nobody was going to come out with a new case for the 2014 Moto X that was exactly like what I usually prefer, I broke down and decided to take a chance on some cases that wouldn't ordinarily appeal to me. I bought three different ones to try them out: The Evocel Dual Layer case (closer to the hard dual layer design I usually go for), the i-Blason flexible TPU case, and this one. Of the three, the Diztronic is my favorite. Pros: +Grip! part 1: it fits the phone nice and tight, there is no fear that it will come off, and no flimsy/squishy parts even around the cutouts for the charging and audio ports like some cases. +Grip! part 2: The TPU material has a nice grippy feel to it that gives you confidence when the phone is in your hand that you're not going to drop it (although Moto X isn't a slippery fish like some recent smartphones). The feel is actually pretty similar to the back of the standard black resin Moto X (which is what I have, as since I got mine through my job I didn't have the option of Moto Maker customization). +Conforms to the shape of the Moto X very nicely and adds very little thickness/bulk. +Sometimes cases like this have a tendency to pick up fingerprints or pocket lint to an excessive degree, but that isn't the case with the Diztronic. +The design is understated and subtle, without in-your-face manufacturer logos (there is a very small "Diztronic" wordmark debossed on the right edge, quite easy to overlook altogether). +Feel of the power and volume buttons is great, very crisp action without any of the mushiness you get from some smartphone cases that cover the buttons instead of having cutouts. +Price is right, can't complain about what you're getting for under $9 Cons: -Covers the Motorola logo "dimple" on the back - not a big deal, but that logo IS sort of a comfortable place to rest your index finger on a call, and maybe some people would care more about showing off what brand of phone they have (the iPhone cases with the cut-out window for the Apple logo are hilarious to me personally but to each their own). Other factors (could be good or bad depending on your opinion/situation): =Power and volume buttons are covered and don't have the "ridged" feel of the actual phone buttons, which I know some people may dislike. =Obviously, covers the whole back of the phone, so if you have a customized phone from Moto Maker nobody's gonna be seeing how cool it is - having to get a transparent case or go with no case at all is the tradeoff you have to put up with if you got a Moto Maker model, I suppose. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the Diztronic 2nd gen Moto X case and comfortable with it as my "daily driver" for as long as I keep the phone (which right now looks like it will probably be at least another year) - which, considering not long ago I despaired of ever finding a decent case for this phone, is high praise indeed!
Review: Great Folks - There are two versions of this case because this phone was enlarged for the 2nd generation. I ordered the wrong one, and that was entirely my fault. The folks at Diztronic were absolutely wonderful about it. Without waiting for my return, they sent me the correct version immediately at no additional charge and included an address for me to send the first one back. They acted quickly without charging me a dime - and remember, they were fixing my mistake. Couldn't ask for a better product or experience.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Satisfied with this Case
*by M***N on July 27, 2015*

Background: "Downgraded" from Otterbox to this case (issues with bulk and with getting liquid between the screen protector and screen). Very satisfied with the switch. • Fit: Perfectly fits my Moto X 2nd Generation; doesn't cover any microphones/speakers/camera/front motion sensor. No cutout for Motorola logo, if that's important to you. Lip of the case over front face appears to be exactly the extra width of the speaker/mic bars on the phone, maybe a hair more. Adds approximately 2-3 mm of thickness side-to-side, top-to-bottom, and front-to back (including the lip). No noticeable change in weight. • Finish/Texture: Finish is matte black/slate. I'd describe the texture as "smooth rubber" - it feels smooth to the touch but not slippery (and not sticky/tacky). The grip feels much better than the bare phone. Diztronic logo is imprinted on the button side of the case, and as such is hardly visible, leaving the back sleek and bare. • Buttons: Power button and volume rocker feel good on the side, and there is very slight tactile difference between the two - notably, you can feel the "dip" in the center of the rocker. The power button is NOT very textured as the Moto X's, but the buttons are imprinted with the Power and +/- symbols. • Headphone jack opening measures 8mm diameter and can easily take thicker headphone housings (which my previous case could not). • Micro-USB jack opening measures 13 mm wide. • Other: Case is easily attached and removed, and it doesn't feel like it will warp as you do so. As mentioned in other reviews doesn't have screen protector, but works well with what I have on it (Mr Shield protector).
