Runs very hot but makes connections...for awhile.
Runs pretty hot, but It worked well, until 18 months after use when the connection ports simply stopped making good contact. The HDMI connection increasingly would lose the connection to the monitor. Jiggling a bit would restore it, but finally just doesn’t work at all. Is more than 2 years’ service too much to expect?

Don't use if you have a case
If you have a laptop case, this thing won't work. It needs to be flush with the macbook. I flip the Moffo so that it goes the other direction. The cover for the screen part of the case makes it not flush, however, it'll still work if you just make sure it's connected. THEN when you do that, it completely stops you from connecting to any wifi. I have absolutely no access to my internet when this thing is plugged in backwards. Haven't tried it the normal way since I need my case. Just an fyi.
