How does this neck compare to other guitars?** A: By size I guess you mean neck shape...It is a C shape like the modern Martin neck. Pick up a newer Martin OM18, OM21, OM28...It has that neck shape and the same size/feel (I didn't say sound). The neck feels similar to the Martin 000-28, & similar Recording kings. But these do not have the size/feel. The strings are shorter. The Flinthill is advertized as a 000 but is actually an OM guitar. **Q: What is the width at the nut on this guitar? Is it a 1 and 11/16th inch nut or is it 1 and 3/4 inch nut?** A: 1 3/4 with a V-shape for the FHG-027 ... I also own the FHG-27 (dreadnaught) it is 1 11/16 with a V-shape neck. Very nice sounding guitars. Might require a set up. Tuning machines not ideal. Great wood. I like them. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ guitar that came was not pictured *by J***L on March 18, 2014* I received my flint hill today and for the money its pretty nice. There is some clear workmanship flaws typically of a guitar made in china. It didn't have the pick guard on it at all and also didn't have the fret markers pictured....it was just normal fret markers. I honestly don't feel like going through the process of packing it back up and trying to send it back even with a free shipping label. I am going to buy an OM pick guard anyway. Otherwise it sounds decent for the money. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ great guitar *by J***S on November 30, 2012* It's a long story. To start off the first guitar that a got had a broken neck. The shipping box was way below standard and very little to support the guitar from direct contact with the ground. It was a shame because the guitar looked great and I am not one how thinks busting a instrument is cool. Amazon replaced it in a flash. I got it and a 3rd string tuner was bad. I replaced the 3rd string tuner with the first and am able to tune the guitar down 2 steps.This guitar is solid wood, I did not believe it but it is. Beside the tuners, this is a well built guitar. I can replace the tuners. I was not going to ship this guitar back for the price. I was buying it for a kid in my family but she will never see it.I buy and sell guitars. I play them and sell them while trying to break even. I have had 100 or more flat top guitars, Martin, Gibson and hand made Collins guitars.This guitar has loud sounds with good intonation. I have never liked the idea of a guitar made in China but they may be the next great guitar company. They need to work on the little stupid stuff. I little foam in the shipping box and good tuners.Don't send it back for a bad tuner, take it somewhere and replace it.
