The break-in period was non-existent (they were ready to wear right out of the box), and they provide excellent support for long walks. The grip is solid on both dry and wet terrain, and the boots feel durable enough to handle regular use. The waterproofing is excellent and my feet stayed completely dry, even when crossing a river! The boots are lightweight enough to wear for all day wear, but for longer hikes they may become a bit heavy feeling.
