The size is perfect for the size of the ingot mold I was using The only negative I have is the gloves that were part of the kit. They were terrible. The tips of them burned through. I suggest purchasing a good set of leather welding gloves or a good pair of firefighters gloves. It worked really well for the first burn and was easy to set up. It reaches melting point fairly quickly. My only real complaints are that the ceramic honeycomb tile was broken when it arrived and that the kit says it has everything needed (which it mostly does) but a set of pouring tongs would have been nice. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.
