Tried otc "no flush" niacin, which I later found out has no effect on cholesterol. Read Kowalski's book and decided to try Enduracin. I got the 250 mg tabs so I could increase it slowly. I was disappointed with my first blood test after about 3 months on Enduracin, as it only lowered my ldl a few points. That said, I was not yet at the recommended full dosage (1,500 mg). I worked up to that over the last couple of months and today my total cholesterol was down from 278 in June to 238. (I need to get a full blood test for the breakdown and to check liver function). Slowly working up to the max was the key for me. I flush if I take more than 500 mg at a time, so I take 500 mg 3x daily. Taking with food and/or water is good. No side effects!, hopefully no statins in my future! Shipping was fast, no issue with packaging, no nicotine odors. ### ⭐⭐ its a good product but u have to endure the red flush *by R***N on Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2019* I had to give this to my 84 yr old mom. I did it to lower her cholesterol with niacin which works as good as any statins. Unfortunately she really dislikes the red fire burning sensation and does not want to wait for it to pass. I had to stop. I do think this is a good product and would recommend it to anyone wanting to lower cholesterol. I took it for a month but had to stop because it was raising my blood pressure. I did not flush while taking this at bed time.
