The first heat setting was hot, but not overly so that it would heat up the phone too much, it heats up quickly, and the nozzle was absolutely ideal to control the area of heat and concentrate it exactly where I needed it and nowhere else. I have only used it so far this once for about 2 mins, but it was perfect for the job, and saved me a fortune having to pay an 'expert'.
