### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Still The Best
*by F***D on December 14, 2017*

Still the best in my book for close to 10 years now I think. I have tried them all. I ride hard pack, loose, rocks, roots, occasional sand, and very little mud (only when I can't avoid it). Climb great, confident fast turns and breaking (with lower pressures). As for cost... reasonable for this level of tire. For reference, I run 26x2.1 rear and 26x2.35 front, and terrains I ride throughout the year include north and central Texas, Santa Fe/Taos New Mexico, Vail area Colorado, and south Tahoe Nevada/California. Both front and rear tires are 5-10 pounds over minimum pressure. Yes, people complain they not fast on concrete, and it's reue... but then, THEY ARE NOT ROAD TIRES! Do you want an off road tires to grip off road, or on road. Can't have both successfully. :) Some complain about them being out of round. I've seen that, but it just means they aren't seated. Nevegal's are tight fitting tires, especially on beefier wheels. Use a little soapy water on the bead (tubeless or with tubes) when you put 'em on, and no more out of round every time!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great DH tire
*by C***Y on June 28, 2011*

This is a great downhill tire if you don't mind the weight or drag. Excellent if you live close to a bike park since you won't be pedaling up. I weigh 225lbs and ride aggressively so, for me having a hard, fat tire with lots of surface area is more important than the extra weight or drag that the tire may bring to the equation. It grips ok in a variety of surfaces from hard packed dirt to deep mud.Great value compared to Michelin's "wild gripper decent" and they are basically the same tire.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome tire for rocky/sandy trails
*by T***R on November 2, 2011*

I read the reviews and they make some great remarks. One thing you have to take into account is the type of trail you are riding on. I am currently riding in the rocky/sandy desert of El Paso, so I was looking for a tire that had tall, widely spaces knobs. As a result, I thought the WTC Velociraptor would be a good choice. I was constantly getting flats due to the rockiness of the trail, not to mention the thorns and other things of the desert. A lot of the riders that rode past me as AI sat on the side of the trail changing my tubes RAVED about how great the tubless system was. So I decided to check into a tire that met my criteria. Now that I finally rode the Kenda Nevegal 26x2.35 tires and I actually had LESS rolling resistance. I was blazing through the trails! Even the sandy areas that would swollow up my Raptor tires, which were 26x2.1, these tires floated right over! Bottom line, I would HIGHLY recommend these tires to anyone riding in the same type of terrain I ride in. However, I would have to agree with the reviewers that complain about the rolling resistance if I was riding on a dirt trail. In which case I would probably recommend the Kenda Slant-6.
