I wish it would toast up to be crunchier, but it really doesn't. It is an acceptable substitute, however. The cinnamon rolls were particularly good - but I wasn't sure if it was because of the cinnamon and sweetener along with the cream cheese sugar free frosting I made to go with it. Nevertheless - very good. That said, all the ingredients are EXACTLY the same on all their products whether it's breads, buns or cinnamon rolls? Why is that? Why not label it a generic mix with different recipe instructions on the back like other generic baking products do? What a pleasure to actually eat sandwiches that taste good without needing grain-based flours to do it! Bread products are just something that is very hard to find when you are eating Paleo and/or Keto, especially to actually have them taste like the proverbial "real thing". These products do that and are really easy to prepare. It is just a given that products with healthy, high quality ingredients are going to cost more money. I find it is very worth it to be able to enjoy meals with bread in them, from time to time, without breaking my dietary habits and/or spending huge amounts of time on baking from scratch. Funnily enough, I ended up baking the sandwich bread first and oh, my yum. This bread is divine when toasted! My husband makes a mean BLT, but most gf and paleo bread can't really hold up to his toasting methods (plus they usually taste like chalk). I'm delighted that the bread from this mix can. A little butter (and some garlic) and this toasts up beautifully. I could hardly tell the difference for grain bread-- I'm so excited! (We also used the leftover bread to top our French onion soup!)
