It works fine. Wires are different colors than normal household wiring. So the brown goes to your black wire and the blue goes to your white wire. Only one left is the ground. Side note: the delivery driver was coughing his ass off when he left it on the porch. Way to go Amazon. If your people are exhibiting symptoms of corona virus... make them stay home! I had to spray the box with bleach water and let it sit for an hour befor I brought it into the garage with gloves on!

I like the look, the price and quality. 8.3" is small when I see it out of the box. I wish I ordered a bigger size. But this works for a small area and I bought 2 of them. They work fine and fit well with small hall way of 3.5x8 feet.

Very small. Good for small spaces.

the parts that look like glazed glass are soft plastic. The light is so dim you can't see with it. Mounts flush with the wall, so there's zero room for wiring. Just real junk. Would never buy again.

Requires drilling extra holes in ceiling. Did not use for the hallway or kitchen as intended. I will keep for future basement retrofit. I can use it on the drop ceiling.
