These candles are gorgeous! They are plastic, but look like glass. I have them on my window sills. It works very well for me because I have a 2 year old grandson, and if the messes with them I don't have to worry about him getting hurt. Even my hard to please husband thinks they look amazing! The varying heights create a professional-looking display right out of the box. Highly Realistic Flicker: The movement of the LED wick is fluid and organic, avoiding the repetitive, mechanical motion seen in cheaper models. The color temperature is a warm, inviting white (approximates 2700K), which is crucial for a cozy feeling. Robust Functionality: The 6-hour timer function is reliable and highly convenient, setting them to automatically turn on at dusk. The remote is responsive, and the timer mode holds its setting even after manually turning the unit off and back on. THE CRITICAL CAVEAT (Why 4/5 Stars) The sole impediment to a perfect score is the poorly designed AA battery housing.
