I have bought cheap unrated cords that ran warm under load and I have paid premium prices for cords with specs that were overkill for the application. The Amazon Basics 20 foot 3 prong extension cord lands in the sweet spot that most people actually need for general indoor use, and after putting it through real world applications around the house and in my home office setup I can confirm it performs exactly as it should.
