Review: Neutral flavour and smell. Relatively expensive. - Tried this in a protein shake, and it was fine. There isn't much of an odour, and I couldn't really taste it. I tried natto before many years ago, and I didn't like it, but this is something different, and can be utilised in a greater number of ways. It's difficult to get fermented foods into the diet that don't cause some kind of digestive issue in and of themselves (i.e. cabbage (cruciferous) - kimchi/ sauerkraut; milk (dairy) - kefir), but this seems okay. It's expensive though, and at £15 for 50g of product, it's hard to get excited about, although, this seems to be normal based on similar products I've looked at. It's almost like the economics I've observed with matcha tea. I would try getting this from a local East Asian grocer first, and if you're still out of luck, then consider.
