It's very easy to assemble, but once it's all together, it is surprisingly sturdy for a barre that is mobile and it is easy to reverse the assembly process should you wish to put it away. I leave mine out all the time as I use it daily and it stands behind my settee without being in anyone's way! The size is perfect for home use and, although I'm using mine on a carpet, it is very steady. Mobile barres are obviously not going to be quite as robust as the bigger ones used in dance studios, and anyone doing barre work will know that the barre is meant to be a support not something to swing on with your full body weight, however for the money the quality is good and just right for home use.
