(came from Prague, not Germany). First thing that slightly puzzled me - why was it in a box measuring about 2 meters long? (And that's with the front wheel detached!) It's a folding bike - why didn't they send it fully assembled (without handlebars and pedals attached, obviously), but folded? The box would have been only a bit wider and been considerably shorter.....Opened the box and sorted the bits (give yourself plenty of room); Had a look at the instructions - I've seen worse, but as is common, they're printed in a small font on flimsy paper. First job - scan the instructions, blow them up and print off the readable results. You do need to have a bit of nous building the bike (get somebody else to do it if you can't handle Ikea flat packs) But it's fairly logical. You get included a throttle so you can use the bike without any pedalling, but which has to be (because of EEC ruling) fitted by yourself when assembling the bike. Simple to do, remove old handlebar grip, slide throttle onto bars, tighten, then route cable down to the controller box. Open this up, (don't have a fit at all the wires) and attach your throttle cable to the only vacant plug available. Make sure the controller cover goes back properly to maintain its' weatherproofing.Only other things I did were fit a lardar*e seat, (got a broad bum), fit some decent mudguards (not essential) and then take the stock tyres off and throw them in the nearest bin. I've found through long experience of e-biking to work that if you want to avoid punctures, the only way to go as far as I'm concerned, is Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres. Not particularly cheap - up to about 50 quid for the pair, but they're as close to bullet proof tyres that you can get. Fit them, together with Slime Puncture protection in your inner tubes and you can have faith! (Schwalbe reckon you can ride over broken glass... And it's true - I've done it.Sorry I've been long winded, but I thought spending your hard earned money on something like this deserves a genuine review, rather than "It's ok".
