It is the right size pellet,and it floats for a while. He eats it right up, and looks for more. It is a natural food for bettas, high in protein.It does not mess up the water. I do wish it had a ziplock reclosable bag,but no big deal. You can just put it in a little container or a ziplock bag.More food then one betta will ever eat. It is a little expensive but at least it is nutritious. My betta is spoiled anyway. He has a variety of foods. You would'nt want to eat the same food every day ! And I suppose he would not either. I had a lot of issues before with other feeds as they caused a lot of ammonia in my tank, killing my fish. I have had no issues with this food because nothing goes to waste and is a more natural food source for my fish. My shrimp love it too, although they have a bit of trouble getting to it as it does float on the surface for quite some time. The pellets are small enough that I don’t have to cut them up, but big enough that they don’t blow around. There are lots of pellets in this bag, far more than I can use for one betta. The only improvement I would suggest to the manufacturer is to make the bag resealable. I just put the open bag inside a ziploc bag, but the bag doesn’t stand up very well so it has spilled a couple times.
