Review: Surprisingly good budget TV model - I bought this TV for the spare bedroom for when guests may stay and want to watch their own shows, rather than our preferred options on the main home TV set. The presence of the UK Freely app on the Toshiba model is a big bonus for us because we have no antenna connection point in the spare bedroom and the only way for anyone to be able to watch TV in there is by wi-fi. Just for clarity, the set can also tune in regular digital TV (DTV) channels that are receivable over the air with an antenna, and there is a connection port for one on the back of the cabinet. We just haven't used that particular element of the set's functionality because we don't need to. The range of channels on the UK Freely app is limited in comparison to what is otherwise available on UK Freeview digital terrestrial TV, but this hasn't proved to be an issue in our home. Setting the TV up was fairly straightforward, and it operates very well so far. The picture and sound quality are pretty good and it has a range of setting options to cover various personal viewing preferences or room conditions. The remote control also works well.
