Jasmine is my current favorite scent so I bought this to layer with my perfumes and such, but I won't be rebuying this. As for the texture, it is definitely a cream rather than a butter or lotion. Its a shame I dislike the scent because I really enjoy the feeling of this hand cream. Right after you apply it, it almost feels like a gripping primer. Very grippy, but not sticky.
