Can I buy a new battery?** A: I know that you can change the battery but I have never been able to do it myself. Am on my 4th or 5th one as I have either lost or not been able to change them myself. One I bought was faulty and I returned it and they said they had changed the battery. Good luck **Q: can it convert the steps into miles / km walked ?** A: This one measures steps and nothing more. If worn correctly it is very accurate. This I discovered by trail and error. I wear it on my belt on my right side, immediately above the pocket - of a standard pair of trousers. This will be further back than for a standard pair of jeans.I use it to monitor another step counter that does have distance (Km), calories and aerobic paces that I wear in the pocket below the SW 200. **Q: how does it attach to your waistband? And does it also have a strap** A: Yes , it has two very reliable hooks which attache to your waistband.
