Motorcycle greatness
Great game for any motorcycle enthusiast. Good selection of bikes and tracks to keep you interested, with lots of options for performance upgrades.Only negative is the loading times, but there are facts to read as with the previous versions.

A huge step in the right direction.
GAMEPLAYPros -The physics, graphics and sounds are massively improved from Ride 2. The bikes are a joy to ride and the game comes with a huge selection of bikes to buy, customise and blast round some of the best tracks, including my favourite Cadwell Park.Cons - The difficulty is so uneven depending on the bike you are using, sometimes the AI will give you the race of your life and then next race they're 15 seconds behind. The Time Attack mode is incredibly difficult to get the gold star which is needed to unlock the next bike and progress. There is steps in place to make the game more accessible for new users but the Time Attack targets need to replicate the difficulty you usually set the AI on.CAREERPros - The career is FULL of races, it would take a lot of time to get it completed and the variety of races such as Road Racing, Supermoto, Track racing, Night races keep the game fresh and un-repetitive. There is a good sense of progression as each race contributes credits you can spend on your bikes or a trip down to the dealership.Cons - I would have liked to have seen a few more leathers and helmets to choose from as they are just copied and pasted from Ride 2. A lot of the bikes are behind a lock and must be won by completing events, but due to the difficulty of the Time Attacks this will mean new users won't be able to win their favourite machines. I also think there is a lot of bikes that should have been in the game but are instead later to be released via DLC.LIVERY EDITORPros - For me, this is why I bought the game on day one. The Livery Editor is ALMOST as powerful as what you see on Forza and you can pretty much build a like for like replica of your favourite stars bikes. You can follow my growing collection and download some as examples via my Twitter @Miami_bay_Shaun. If you have a passion for bikes and art like me then you can lose a LOT of hours on this feature.Cons - Some minor annoyances for me really. There is no lower case fonts which makes creating logos a little harder, I would have liked to see maybe 3 or so more fonts too. For some reason we can't apply stickers to the windshield which is essential for creating those replica liveries, I'm hoping this is patched soon as there is no reason why you wouldn't be able to. With those two changes it'll be near perfect. If you're on the fence about buying this game, honestly I would say go for it, it is the best motorcycle game ever released and a noticeable step up from Ride 2. It's not perfect and there is things I would like to see but by purchasing this game, playing the hell out of it and contributing to the community it's all fuel to building an even better sequel oneday.I would give this game 8/10

'Tourist Trophy' is the still best bike game ever
I didn’t buy Ride 2 but I did get MotoGP18 by Milestone. Like that, Ride 3's a decent game but fairly flawed. For me the coolest thing is the circuits. Lapping Ulster, Brands Hatch, Cadwell, Billown, Oulton etc is really enjoyable. These look good rather than great though, as you’ll see a few strange or missing things if you know the track well.It probably handles better than any other bike game at the moment (especially compared to Big Ben’s TT effort). Tailoring your livery & bike is nice, you can make your rider look pretty although the gear selection’s a little outdated. There really are a lot of tracks and bikes, if you want to go ‘all in’ on the game it will last you a while. The problems… It’s the exact same dumb AI as in MotoGP18; they cannot alter their lines and you get into all sorts of frustrating crashes. Learning new circuits, the guide is inconsistent in telling you when to brake – sometimes too early, sometimes too late. AI speed fluctuates wildly, even when sticking to the same difficulty. Load times are slow, many bikes are hidden behind a pay wall. Macau is in the dark for some reason, a small but irritating issue. Lap times don’t match real life times (eg 1:22 at Brands with little effort). Therefore I’d recommend it if you are a bike nut, want to try out some unique real life circuits, don’t have Ride 2 or can find it cheap. It can be frustrating but unfortunately it’s likely to be the best bike game we’ll have for a while – 3.5 out of 5 would be my rating.

Avoid if you actually ride a bike.
Awful. It feels like a racing trucks game has been reskinned or the early stages of Gran Turismo when you only have crappy cars. The bikes handle like four wheeled vehicles, heavy ones at that, slow and sluggish, masssssive understeer, slow acceleration and braking with not a single bike characteristic. I tried the Aprilia RSV around a simple track and it felt like driving a bus in GTA V.
