It was dead on arrival though and so in response to that I initially I gave this purchase one star.Based on responsiveness of the company, I'm changing my original one star review on this boat as I am convinced that Arlin at Fish Fun Co. will see this through to our complete satisfaction. I am leaving the original review here just so you will be aware of what occurred, as we are still DOA with this boat.Arlin at Fish Fun Company is being VERY responsive and even responded to my email late last night (Sunday). And today he is working hard to get it resolved and ship us a new controller that works.But the fact is still that the surprise and delight that we had hoped for on this birthday present for my 15 year old was spoiled by the fact that he and his dad couldn't get it to work. It happened to be a Sunday, so there was no customer support.One thing I want to note is that in working to get this resolved, Arlin told me that you should NOT charge the battery overnight, but this was not clear in any of the literature. It may have been mentioned, but to me this should be in ALL CAPS, both on the website and in the documentation, as I have never heard of any battery that gets ruined from being charged too long. Fortunately we bought two batteries, but my husband may have charged both overnight. ;(I appreciate the fact that Arlin is doing all possible to get this resolved. Unfortunately my son is back at school and I have a very busy day today so it may be a few days before we get the boat operational.----------------------------Unfortunately, today we have "sad faces all around" as my 15 year old son says. We got him this boat yesterday for his birthday and of course he had to wait overnight for the batteries to charge. So today, he had planned on going out to play with it all day. It was a gorgeous day and he had his heart set. He and his dad followed the directions and could not get the lights on the remote unit to work. We tried fresh batteries, in case those shipped were bad. No luck.I had read the other ratings before buying and was hoping I wasn't one of those that would suffer from the bad quality of assembly.Of course because he had to wait until today, the customer service number was not manned today. I am confident from the other comments that Fun Fish Co will call tomorrow and help turn this from a one star rating to a five star rating by getting us a working boat asap. ### ⭐ Disappointed *by D***F on Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2020* Disappointed in this gift for grandson for Xmas. After spending that much money and expecting no problems, well there was one BIGOne none of the fishing items came with the boat as stated on Amazon.My grandson lives in a small town where everything needs to be shipped in due to lack of convenience. It was easier for his father to purchase the fishing items instead of returning the boat and exchanging it.I feel as the purchaser of this gift for my grandson, I should be reimbursed for the gift. My grandson was extremely sad and disappointed as I was since it was the only thing he asked me for as a Xmas present.I would like to hear from you in regards to this matter.
