I send a lot of greeting cards, and I've always liked using somewhat matching colored inks to write a short, personal message in each card. Recently I started making my own cards, and sometimes I use dark or black colored cardstock, so the metallic foiling I do will show up nicely. But finding good pens to write on dark paper has not been easy! I bought Cricut's opaque pens, which are just awful -- the white doesn't work AT ALL, and the other colors are practically neon. I bought Gelly Roll pens in white, silver, and gold, and they're pretty good, but I really wanted something more colorful. Oddly enough, I wasn't even shopping for pens to write on dark paper when I stumbled across this pack from Mr. Pen, but I'm absolutely thrilled with these pens! The ink colors in this "vintage" set are so different fromthe other gel pens out there. The colors are rich and bold, not overly bright but strikingly unique. The gel ink flows so smoothly -- no skipping or streaking at all! And of the 11 pens in this set, 9 of them write beautifully on dark paper.
