The barn is mainly made of wood and has a few plastic accessories.Our 4 year old wanted this specific barn for Christmas from Santa, because it has doors, windows and pen gates that work like those of a real barn. Plus the roof folds open for easy access to the loft and pens. It took about 30 minutes to assemble, which is not bad for such a sturdy large toy. This toy sold out on Black Friday in America. There were two places we could purchase the barn either a department store in Canada or Amazon UK. The department store in Canada does not ship internationally so it was a no brained to order through Amazon UK. We worried about ordering an item that was coming from another country and hold ups with customs, but we worried in vain. The item was shipped on time and cleared customs expeditiously and arrived at our home earlier than promised.
