Rurtsva’s Medium Lava Rock 5LBS features 1"-2" natural volcanic stones designed to optimize gas combustion in fireplaces and fire pits. Hand-picked for premium quality, these porous rocks withstand extreme temperatures, control BBQ flare-ups, and provide versatile decorative uses from aquariums to landscaping. Each 5 lb bag covers 1,290 cm², effectively concealing fire pit components while requiring zero maintenance.

## Description

From our lava stone collection, each stone measures an average of 1/2" - 1" and is used as an accessory to our fire glass or fire pit. We recommend using lava stone as a filler if you have a deep fireplace or fire pit. For a complete design, add fire glass at the top to cover the flint thoroughly so it is undetectable. We currently offer lava rock in 10 pounds. Bags that are the same size up to 20 pounds. Fire Glass Since lava rock is economical, it is the perfect choice as the first filler that goes into a very large and/or dept fire feature to cover the gas pipes and pipes. Once the lava rock is distributed the way you want it, add a layer of fire glass to create a truly amazing design that will instantly become the focal point of your home or yard. We sift, sort and pack our lava stone by hand. In this way, we can guarantee that they are of the highest quality, can be used in a fire pit and have no gas residue that could burst. For best results, we recommend pouring at least 2 inches of lava rock over the fire pit burner, which allows the gas to filter evenly through the lava stone media. Remember to cover your fire pit when not in use and do not use the fire function when wet.
