I wanted slippers I can use in wet areas e.g. bathrooms, beaches or swimming pools. I find them much more comfortable than thong slippers (flip-flops) and they don't flap as much. They were not expensive and they probably won't last for ever. I wouldn't walk long distances, but they seem ideal for home or holiday use. Someone asked how much they weigh. Mine are UK size 6, and weigh 167g without the bag, and 175g including the resealable bag they come in. They are very easy to carry in a suitcase or backpack.
