It's clear that the quality is good

a pretty awesome little tool for kids to explore a whole new world to them.just as what I wanted, my kids are now having more interest to learn the structure of natures. it has a nice resolution, clear image, and adjustable light.although it cannot compare to the compound microscope, I'm still happy that I bought the little piece for my kids.

It keeps crashing after a few seconds.

The 50-1000x magnification is misleading. There are only two focal points within the range of the focus wheel, magnification is not infinitely adjustable across a range. "Optical" magnification is more like 30x and 175x on a 10" tablet. The smaller the display screen, the smaller the magnification but the detail is the same on any screen. There is a + and - button that let you further increase the "Digital" magnification, which does not increase any detail, just zooms into the optical image. The 30x optical turns into 125x with full digital zoom and the 175x optical turns into 700x. So the 1000x magnification is even a stretch using full "Digital" zoom. IMHO "Digital" zoom is not useful because you loose detail. The attached pictures are magazine type and for reference at both optical zoom levels. The white part of the center of the letter "e" is approximately 0.015".All in all, the microscope is a fun educational toy but not a precision instrument.
