However, neither my body nor my mind react well to alcohol anymore. There are some fantastic A/F beers now, but a replacement for a short drink was trickier to find. Until now. Be aware... it's bitter. But that's better than all the sickly sweet alternatives out there. It's cheek-sucking bitterness makes it a perfect addition to a Fevertree tonic, giving it that kind of flavouful bite that gin usually adds. It also has bags of well-balanced, grown-up flavour. Don't be put off by the price, as a little goes a very long way. Also (and this might just be a me thing) the gorgeous bottle and pourer makes it feel luxurious. I haven't tried yet, but I have no doubt that this would make a superb addition to a Negroni, in place of the usual campari. I will definitely be buying more.
