The ball joint is very tight ow so far in stays in whatever angle I set, and I got the sandbag-style dashboard mount from the same company and I love that too. Now I take the whole thing off from the sandbag base whenever I need to, instead of having to unstick it from the window or unpop it from the ball joint. 100% recommend.
