As other reviewers have advised, order a size up from your usual fit. I take a 38" suit jacket, but ordered a 40" waistcoat and the fit is perfect. This is particularly true when sitting, as one's tum tends to spread more!I love the look of the waistcoat - worn over an open necked shirt with jeans and nice brogues it gives a lovely smart vintage appearance - which has attracted many complementary comments. Don't forget a pocket square! The brown goes very well with jeans, and I'm planning to buy a blue version to wear with a pair of brown cords I like.

Quite disappointed by this. The product description on Amazon says 25% wool, but the label in the garment says it's 100% man-made fibre. Also, I followed the advice of other reviews and bought a size larger than normal but should have got my regular size. If you have a paunch you might need the larger size. If you are slim you won't.

I wanted a slightly baggy fit than normal, so when up a couple of sizes to ensure this wasn't too tight. That was a mistake; I should have gone up 3 or 4 sizes!I'm a 48 inch chest, so thought I would be safe ordering a 52 inch chest. If anything I was more worried about my belly than my chest. Around my waist I had more than enough room, but across the chest the item was very snugg indeed. If I had gone for my true size, it would never have fit me.In summary, a very nice item, but be wary about the sizing as they are way out.

Parcel arrived in time and packaged well. I gave it to my husband for his birthday and he loves it. It fits him beutifully. Thank you for providing beautifully made clothes.

As advised I bought two sizes up from normal because of stylish snug fit - absolutely perfect for me. It is a really smart waistcoat and good value for money. Disappointed that I did not buy a blue one as well but no complaints about my purchase.

I am absolutely in love with Cavani's style ,very nice quality and smart clothes.I bought it as a present for my partner who loves this brand .As the description of the product says they recommend you to choose a size bigger than yours and they are right .My partner generally wears a 42 R but I bought the 44 R and it was just a bit tight . He loves it .The only think that I thought would have been nice is if there was a little lapel pin ( like those that are on the jackect ). Anyway it wasn't advertised in the product description so it is just something that I would have appreciated more as a detail but not essential .

Great waist coat well finished off with great double coller lapel detail, really fits well as I looked at recent comments whiched helped me choose correct size order 2 sizes larger as it is a fitted garment. I am a 46 and I ordered a 50 in the waistcoat to match my suit which is exactly the same material and maker and it fits spot on. Arrived quickly and well packaged

Really nice product. Good period waistcoat. Make sure you go up a size as the chart is not great for accuracy. Has a fake handkerchief pocket as are all the others, so no pockets which is a shame, though there is space for a pocket watch and chain for authenticity.
