## Description

The Pangea Gecko Diet with Papaya is a similar product to our popular Watermelon formula nutritionally speaking but has a higher fat content and a different flavor profile. This formula is a favorite among our crested geckos and is readily devoured. The Papaya diet can be alternated with any of the Pangea Complete Gecko Diets or fed exclusively. The Pangea Gecko Diet with Papaya uses a combination of fruits that your geckos will not be able to resist. This diet was one of our first complete diets and was based on the popular Original Pangea Fruit Mix Treat. It has been formulated using only the highest quality ingredients, including all-natural USA-produced dried fruits, whey protein isolate, algaes, and more. Our ingredients are selected to contain very low levels of anti-nutrients like oxalic acid and phytates. We do not use any seeds, nuts, seed meal, cereal grains, or high oxalate fruits or vegetables in our product. We developed this product here at Pangea and hired a Ph.D. in animal nutrition to make sure we got it right. Directions: Mix 1 part powder to 2 parts water and adjust to achieve desired consistency. **Q: What is the right feeding schedule?**
A: Under normal circumstances your gecko will only need 3 to 5 feedings per week.

**Q: How much should I offer my gecko per feeding?**
A: It depends on the age of your gecko. Most Juveniles should receive about 1/16th of an ounce or a dime size portion. Subadults should receive 1/8th of an ounce or a nickel sized portion. An adult should receive a quarter to about a half ounce portion.

**Q: Why shouldn't I freeze the diet to help it last longer?**
A: The ice crystals that form during the freezing process can potentially damage the cell walls of the plant ingredient contents and reduce the overall nutritional value of the diet.

**Q: Why does the unrefrigerated prepared feed expire after a day?**
A: The prepared feed can be compared to a fruit smoothie. A fruit smoothie sitting in a humid tropical environment like a gecko terrarium will not last as long as it would while refrigerated.

Our crestie is 7 years old and only eats Pangea blend foods. Very healthy and cute - and a chain pet store purchase, so not a fancy guy. This food fels like a quality diet for good longevity. It also smells good and just sort of dries out (doesn't get moldy or gross) if we occasionally forget a dish for an extra day.
