These are wonderful boots at a very good price but could do with a bit more ankle support to make them perfect, hence 4 stars. They seem very robust and only time will tell if they stay so after more hikes. Right now, I can say I am delighted with them. I got the Newton Ridge Plus. And I’ve worn it on multiple trips with hikes in dry areas, rain and even snow and it has held up very well and kept me dry and steady. Does get a bit cold in minus weather but nothing you cannot fix with thick wool socks and feet warmers. I got two sizes up as I wanted to wear with thicker socks and fit is good.
