**Q: Is the stem hollow to pour sand into to provide weight and stability?**
A: Mine is and has a removable plug at one end so i filled it halfway with 10mm gravel and used the 3 x metal rods to hold it in place mines been up 3 years never fallen but  if not placed on hard surface soil needs to be solid as it gets top heavy when it rains maybe place a rock on the foot of the table at the rear as viewed

**Q: so does this come with ground stakes or do we have to buy separately**
A: Yes it does have 3 hooked stakes. The column is also hollow so you can fill it with sand which should allow it to be stable, but with the heavy winds we have lately I wouldn't trust that, so I used the stakes. I have had it about 3 years and they have held it in place throughout all the storms we've had.

**Q: What is the diameter**
A: Its about 20 inches, but the actual fillable part is more like 16 inches (that accounts for the decorative rim)

**Q: would it be deep enough to put one of those solar fountains in ?**
A: Hello, I just measured, from the middle to the brim of the bowl is APPROX 4-5" possibly 5" so depends on the amount of water needed for your fountain.
