This is a good looking bin and arrived without damage. The soft close lid is good but the pedal fell to pieces soon after we got it. We are not particularly clumsy with it so it is just poor material and not reinforced around the pedal. My husband has mended it several times as we didn't want the hassle of returning it and now the pedal has fallen off. If you are not handy at repairs I would not recommend buying this bin. Update November same year. Lid has now fallen off and we finally have to replace this bin.
