A gap in the midrift looked great in the '60's but they don't do me justice now, even though the body looks good! This is a great answer and you can use a short top, bits don't bulge and bumps don't bum. If you want them for the gym and are very slim around the middle they may be a bit lose even. They might fold over as some gym stuff does but haven't tried it like that yet, not what I wanted it for as I have others. I bought a 14 and that is what I wear, but when I first took it out and looked at it I though 'oh no, I can't get into that' but yes I can and you don't feel as if you are wearing a corset.
