I'm more inclined to believe that it just isn't as pigmented as I need to use a lot more of this compared to one dot of blush. It can be layered if needed so this isn't an issue for me but if contour is what you're going for, the opacity is perfect in my opinion. I use both a sponge and a brush to blend this depending on where I'm applying and it blends well with each method.
