Review: HALLELUJAH! GOT RID OF THE MOSQUITOES! - Smells great! Works great repelling the mosquitoes! Funny though, my dog seems to love eating it. Fortunately, it is strong enough to have him pulling off a strand & chewing it like gum and still survive (both the plant & the dog). Maybe it helps his stomach or something. I love it because I am not getting bit by the mosquitos. I have it in a pot about 3 feet off the ground just outside my patio where it gets some shade during the relentless sun here in South florida but also gets some sun. It seems to be doing really well. I am very pleased & ecstatic that I am not getting devoured by those horrible mosquitoes when I sit outside with the dogs or that I can open the sliding glass doors without 2 or 3 of the mosquitoes coming inside the house and that this is not poisonous to either me or the dogs. Who wants to put on mosquito repellent just to let the dogs out? BTW, I know you can also use it as an herb but I haven't got that far with it yet, I mean as far as my having time to cook with it, but that is a pleasant plus to look forward too!

The leaves of the plants were undamaged. The size of the plants was as expected. In fact after ordering these on desertcart I found some lemon grass at a local garden center and went ahead and bought them as well. The desertcart plants are of equal size and quality to what I purchased from the garden center. Thanks for providing such a good quality product and devising an ingenious way to ship the plants intact.

**Q: Full sun? Some shade? total shade? I'd like to place these in pots near my slider door, and that is shade-mostly indirect sunlight actually.**
A: I have my planted in full sun and they are doing great.  I do not know if they would grow in shade very well.

**Q: Which variety of cymbopogon is this?  I am looking for cymbopogon winterianus.**
A: Cymbopogon citratus

**Q: Have you notice a difference in the amount of mosquitoes?**
A: I don't seem to see as many around the deck area, I have lemongrass and other mosquito repellent plants all around the area. I did just get bitten, but I was down in the rest of the garden. It's hard to tell!

**Q: I am in zone 4 (Minnesota) will the plant make it in the summer months?**
A: Not sure.  This is the first yr my own plants are not doing good.  Not sure if it's the weather or poor plants.

Absolutely love these plants. Planted outdoors and someone stole them from me. So loving them I ordered again. Will find a different planting site. The plants were very healthy! Smelled like lemon when touched. I loved them.
