Review: Generally OK, but water sprays out - It cuts well, bit noisy, you REALLY need PPE, especially ear defenders and goggles. Biggest problem is that the amount of water required to ensure wet cutting leads to a spray of water over your chest!!! and the water then somehow leaked out of the sump (not found out how it does, the base is not broken). I fixed the water spray by placing a sheet of perspex in front of the saw. BUT you really need to put the entire saw in a large tray to act as a sump to collect the water that spills out, otherwise the water will go all over your bench and make a mess. In fact I built a stand-alone stand for this saw, with a built-in tray, covered in duck tape to ensure water proofing. So, overall good value but it needs some management.
Review: Great easy to use tile cuter. - Great tile cutter, need to clean daily though. Was a strip down to clean initially as we had left it with a weeks work debris in.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great easy to use tile cuter.

Great tile cutter, need to clean daily though. Was a strip down to clean initially as we had left it with a weeks work debris in.

### ⭐⭐⭐ A reasonable tile cutter, let down by poor reservoir design
*by M***L on 21 September 2020*

I purchased this to cut 800 x 400 porcelain tiles. I knew that the fence would need to be removed for some of my cuts. For the smaller width cuts where the fence was usable, I found the fence to be quite effective. I upgraded the blade from the outset (I'd read the supplied one was not great) and the machine was able to cope well and made pretty straight fine cuts . It really needed 2 people to make these cuts as the the table was too small, but in my research, I reckoned I'd need to shell out at least twice the price to get a larger table. The unit however, is let down is several areas: - The design of the safety guard totally obscures your view when trying to follow a line and didn't lift more than a couple of cm (I ended up accidentally splitting the hinge trying to lift it higher although it did remain intact). It also needed a tweak with a spanner to make it stay in the desired position. - In keeping with most other budget wet saw brands, this particular saw will cover you in water. It's certainly not for use indoors, and I really needed a second person to top up the reservoir (especially the 80 cm long cuts). There is no mark on the unit to indicate a minimum/maximum water mark - I ended up using an indelible marker to make this clearer for my helper (the saw blade is hidden by a plastic cover). Fill it up too much and you'll get a lot more water coming at you. Even towards the lower fluid level, the water flow was enough to obliterate my pencil mark lines. Access to fill up the reservoir is also poor but manageable if you are planning to do this whilst cutting larger size tiles. Consider getting one of those bottles with a plastic tube coming out of the top - The real headache for me was the cleaning up of this saw - the tray is attached to the table and for some godforsaken reason, they designed the plastic base to allow the saw water into a 2 cm gap on either side of the table - it's not clear why these gaps are even present. Access to this area is only possible with e.g a screwdriver blade, and very little of the main reservoir is directly accessible from overhead. Anyone who has used these kind of wet saws will know how the dust literally solidifies into a solid sludge and it's real hard to remove this whilst peering into a 3" gap between the table and the reservoir - oh and the main reservoir is not nice rectangular shape either just to add to the fun. It actually took me as much time to clean up the saw as it took to make all of my cuts. It makes you wonder if the designer ever tried using their own kit before putting it into production! If you are placing the saw into it's storage case (i.e stored on it's side), then it stands to reason that the reservoir needs to be completely dry. Overall this is a reasonable piece of kit at this price point. It came with a very sturdy flight case, a good carry handle on the saw assy itself, a pair of blade tools and screwdriver. It remained in absolutely rock solid position on my B&D workmate folding table (i.e it's a good weight and the feet are sturdy) when making cuts. The table itself lost some of it's silvering on the very first cut I made - both table and tile were clean before starting - perhaps it was the porcelain dust, but suspect more likely it's a budget table although it's only cosmetic. For my particular requirements (large format tiles), given the chance I would probably spend a bit more and get a saw with a larger table and a removable reservoir (or at least one with a simpler design). Do note that this particular size of saw 200mm with 25.4 mm hole appeared to have a limited choice of porcelain blades from main brand companies.
