Having checked the cable inside and out I found that it had been completely severed by what must have been an animal (due to the mess) so I needed to get some cable connectors to repair the issue as I was reluctant to have to pay to get the aerial guys out again. These connectors worked perfectly, I have the dual cable and the size of the connectors was perfect, I was able to tidy up the ends, strip the cable back, apply the connectors and join them back together. I then applied some amalgamating tape to keep it dry and I now have my Freesat box working again. Would highly recommend.
