So the options are to paint them with a black marker (only marginally effective), replace the entire button or assembly (expensive and hard to do), or look for a solution like this one with stick-on covers; this is the most cost-effective option in my opinion . . . if the buttons are fashioned properly, and are easy to install correctly. These Fitfoyo button covers do all that. These are pretty easy to install, though you do want to take time to make sure they are aligned properly before sticking them in place because the adhesive on the back side is pretty strong. Bottom line, I highly recommend these. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by A***X on 25 July 2025* I bought this 6-piece knob trim cover set for my 2013 Mercedes E-Class W212 to give the interior a small upgrade, and overall, it looks great once installed. The finish matches the OEM style nicely and adds a subtle touch of elegance to the center console area without being too flashy or over the top. However, the adhesive backing was a bit underwhelming at first. When I initially applied the covers, a couple of them didn’t stick firmly and felt loose around the edges. I had to press them down really hard and leave some weight on top overnight for them to stay put. After a day or two, they finally settled and have stayed in place since, but it took more effort than expected. If you’re planning to install these, I recommend thoroughly cleaning the surface with alcohol wipes and possibly using a little extra adhesive or double-sided tape just to be safe. Once secured, they do look really sharp and elevate the look of the controls. In short, the design is great, but the adhesive could be better out of the box.
