## Description

Sowing instructions: Sow in spring or autumn at 13-18°C (55-65°F) Soak the seeds for 24 hours in warm water. Fill small pots or trays with good quality seedling compost, stand the pots in water and allow them to drain. Sow the seeds 2cm (0.78in) deep, cover with soil and spray the top with water. Place the pots inside a plastic bag or cover with a plastic lid and place in a cold frame, greenhouse or even just a windowsill. Keep the soil misted, but not overly saturated. Germination occurs within 30-60 days (usually around 3-4 weeks), Take the pot out of the bag and make sure it gets plenty of sunlight and not allowed to dry out. After the seedlings have a set of true leaves, prick them gently out of the pot and pot up separately. Put the pots outdoors in a place that is protected from direct sunlight and extremes of weather, wind. They can be planted directly in the desired spot as long as you have at least 45 days before the first frost.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Growing wisteria from seed takes patience...15 years until the vine is mature enough to flower?**
A: I answered this, they did not survive, they did not grow, not a good investment of your money

**Q: How tall do they get?**
A: I have one seed out of the package of seeds growing. Its been a struggle and partly my fault on not knowing how to care for this variety of seeds. They grow as a vine and when purchased as one already bearing roots goes quickly. This seedling is struggling at almost a foot tall after a year. The ones I bought already started had flowers and climbing beautifully.

**Q: Are these tree wisteria or vine?**
A: I think it's too late to answer this question, but the wisteria is the same plant. You have to direct it since the beginning to become a tree or a vine. If you notice the wisteria trees are various branches twisted together to form the main branch. Both choices will require a good structure that can hold their weight.

**Q: Are the seeds of each of the 5 colors pckaged seperately?**
A: No, they are not. Don't waste your money, the seeds never sprouted!

I have grown wisteria from seed before. For this batch I recreated what I did in previous times except with these new seeds being the only changed variable. I scored them and planted in the same medium I always use. Weeks passed with no sign of growth. I dug them up to see if there was any change. Not only did they not sprout, they had turned to mush and had maggots crawling out of them eating them up. We won’t be buying these again :(

A lot of the seeds germinated in about a month, I planted them about 1 inch into the soil in my garden next to the grass and they germinated, the ones I planted in a little pot didn’t sprout so I would recommend put them directly on the ground on a area where they get full sun 6-8 hrs a day and they will grow

    Never germinated

I hate being ripped off, and I did not spend a lot of money. But, a product on sale should perform the way it is said to be. Amazon, these seeds from china are giving you a bad name. My Blue Coleus and red coleus are the same story. Never germinated!
