I’d previously ordered the rigid plastic submersible aquatic plant pots however my pond has a sump which meant that the top of the pots stuck up above the water which spoiled the effect. These fabric containers mould themselves to the bottom so they can’t be seen . The weave allows the plants ( Lillies) to absorb water and nutrients and there is a handy drawstring to hold the compost and gravel to remain in these containers so it doesn’t cloud the water. I would like to use these submerged about two to three feet next to my dock on a lake cove. Will this work? Thanks!** A: These containers have worked well for me and the lily pads I planted last spring are all growing after a very cold winter. I would assume they would work well in a lake, but I’ve only used them for a single year, so I’m not sure about long-term, year after year use. **Q: will these allow the plant to filter the pond water?** A: I think they would as the bags are made of mesh. When I put the plants in mine then lowered it into the water they sit below the water height. I put lilies in mine about a year ago & they are thriving. I also purchased the gravel for the bags made just for plants in a pond. My goldfish lays their eggs in the bags. **Q: Why did I only receive one pot in my package?** A: My order came as ordered with two pots. **Q: Do you need to take the plant out from the pot before you put it in the bag? Or just put the whole thing into the bag?** A: I consider the growth of the plant. If it's young, I leave it in the pot.
